TROPICAL REDS SMOOTHIE

Ever since Jon released his Energized Reds Recovery Blend I have not only been using them daily myself but also trying to find fun ways to incorporate them into my diet. Full on fruit smoothies can be incredibly carb dense, and many keto recipes I have explored just don’t hit for me from a flavor spot or get watered down by ice. Freezing the creamy ingredients is a game changer. This recipe uses the fantastic Blood Orange flavor of the Reds in concert with fresh berries to bring a truly tropical taste, with the benefits of the Reds blend of super fruit ingredients and electrolytes, with some healthy fat and protein!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 Cup Greek Yogurt (Fage 5%)

  • 1/4 Cup Heavy Cream

  • 3 oz Strawberries

  • 1 Scoop Performnce Gainz Energized Reds

  • 16 oz Water

Recipe Steps:

  1. Blend together the yogurt and cream with a whisk.

  2. Pour into a silicone ice cube tray and freeze for a minimum of 3 hours.

  3. Place frozen cubes, berries, Reds, and water in your blender.

  4. Blend until smooth. Enjoy!

Notes:

You can swap your favorite berries in this one, like raspberries, but will need to adjust the macros. You can also add a scoop of a vanilla or unflavored protein powder to make this a great small meal on the go! If you want to lower the carbs even more on this one you can substitute a lower carb yogurt but I find the higher fat Fage 5% freezes best!
